Robert R. Blevins, 77

Robert Roscoe Blevins, 77 of Blue Creek, born February 23rd 1938 went to heaven Tuesday August 25th 2015 at SOMC Hospice care center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Robert was born on Upper Twin Creek road in Blue Creek, Ohio and worked 22 years at Scioto county courthouse as a custodian. He also worked at Taylor lumber company and the Shawnee State Forestry when he was younger.

Robert was preceded in death by his nephews Marty Taylor and Codie Morgan and his niece Jo Arlene Blevins, his brother Thomas Blevins and sister Linda Blevins as well as his parents, Oscar and Liza Blevins.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Blevins; his daughter, Susan Cottrell (Cecil Horsley); (grand)son, Ryan Cook; brother Woodrow (Susie) Blevins; sister, Susie (Roger) Holsinger and his cousins Alfred (Marcela); Virginia Parker and Kenny (Nancy) Abbott, along with his nephews, Jack/Jack Jr (Kim) Blevins and Jesse (Tosh) Taylor, his sister-in-laws Barbara Dixon and Carole Furnier and his brother-in-law Donald (Jennette) Miller friends who cared deeply about him.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday August 29, 2015 at McKendree Cemetery in Stout. Friends may call at the cemetery starting at noon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
