Robert G. Gilley, 67 Robert Gaylord Gilley, 67 of Stout, died Tuesday January 7, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 27, 1946 in New Boston to the late Woodrow and Verna Hunt Gilley. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired Finance Manager. He was also of the Protestant faith. Robert is survived by his wife Cheryl Easter Gilley who he married on October 17, 1970, a son Bobby (Andrea) Gilley of Stout, a daughter Becky (David) Melick of Centerburg, a brother Greg (Ann) Gilley of New Boston, 4 sisters; Sharon (Ron) Lewis of Lebanon, Lana (Dan) Mercer of South Shore, Susie Bailey of New Boston and Cathy Jo (Andy) McKenzie of Minford, 4 grandchildren; Courtney Melick, Dylan Melick, Cole Gilley and Maddie Gilley, 2 brother in laws; Dale (Carol) Easter of Lucasville and Rick (Kathy) Easter of Stout, mother and father in law, Nora and Leroy Easter of Stout along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday January 9, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Gary L. Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post # 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday starting at 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
