Robert Humble, 96

Robert Humble, 96 of Stout, died Saturday October 1, 2022 at his home. He was born February 9, 1926 in Stout to the late Erman Ray and Hazel Elizabeth Herdman Humble.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son Gary Edward Humble.

Robert was a WWII Army veteran. He worked at Dayton Walther Corporation, Greenup Dam and Vulcan Shoe manufacturing.

Robert is survived by his wife of 71 years, Clara Willadean Furnier Humble whom he married on February 24, 1951, a son Robert Steven (Judy) Humble, daughter-in-law Stephanie Humble, grandchildren: Jill (Michael) Harris and Kristin Humble, step grandchildren: Tammy (Tommy) Wright, Kim (Bruce) Gainer and Todd Thompson, along with 3 great grandchildren: Benjamin, Katelyn and Jackson, 4 step great grandchildren: Danielle, Karlee, Brandon and Cassandra along with 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday October 5, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Wayne Harper officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery with graveside Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 11:00 AM.
