Robert Ora Reynolds, 85

Robert Ora "Bob" Reynolds, 85 of West Portsmouth, passed peacefully Saturday May 30, 2015 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born April 26, 1930 to the late Charles and Olive Warner Reynolds at Portsmouth General Hospital. He was married just short of 60 years to Zelphia (Zel) Elliott Reynolds who survives. Bob was a United States Navy veteran having served aboard USS Grouse, AMS-15, during the Korean Conflict from 1948-1952. He was retired after 41 years in the soft drink business from the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Portsmouth. After retirement he enjoyed another 20 years employed by South Shore Gas & Oil and was working there up until the time he became ill. He was a member of the Portsmouth Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Bob leaves two sons, Neal (Cel) of Albany, Ohio and Mike of Moscow, Idaho, granddaughters, Nichole and Natasha, two great-grandsons, his sister, Lillian Waller of West Portsmouth and brother Gary (Lois) Reynolds of Bethel, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law, Marlene Thomas, and special friends Winston Paige and Dave Johnson. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Reynolds of Mt. Joy, and nephews, Bill Waller of West Portsmouth and Jay Reynolds of Mt. Joy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday June 3, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
