Robert Lee Rose, 86

Robert Lee Rose, 86 of West Portsmouth died Thursday March 29, 2012 at Heartland of Portsmouth. He was born June 26, 1925 in Scioto County to the late Ralph and Bess Graham Rose. Bob was a WWII United States Army veteran. He was a Salesman and a driver for Spriggs Distributing, retiring in 1988. He was a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Along with his parents Bob was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Rose Jr. and 4 sisters; Charlotte Rose, Frances Rose, May Underwood and Helen Ruth Gee.

Bob is survived by his wife Naomi Ricks Rose who he married on November 11, 1962 in Wheelersburg, a son Mark Robert (Kitty) Rose of Wheelersburg, 2 daughters; Susan Rose and Brenda Rose both of Portsmouth, 2 Step- grandchildren, Jessica and Ben Arnold.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 2, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM.
