Robert P. Walker, Jr., 72
Robert P. Walker, Jr., 72, of West Portsmouth died Friday, July 6 2007 at his residence. Robert was born January 31, 1935 in Scioto County to the late Robert P. and Jessie Mae Wilman Walker, Sr. He was a member of Peebles Masonic Lodge 581, Odd Fellows of Orient Lodge 337, VFW, served in the US Navy and had retired from Osco.
Robert is survived by his wife Lois Taylor Walker; two sons, Robert P. and Christopher L. Walker both of West Portsmouth; one daughter Pauline (Arnold) Brickey of West Portsmouth; two step sons Jim and Bill Thompson of Portsmouth; one brother, John Walker of Henderson NV; one sister, Connie (Jerry) Nichols of Victorville, CA, a brother-in-law Frank Gillum, and four grandchildren, Jessica N. Brickey, Josie Brickey, Quint Walker, and Braden Walker. He was preceded in death by his first wife Earlistene Walker and a sister Joy Gillum.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Paul King officiating and interment in Larkin Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. A Masonic service will be held at 8 P.M. Monday.
