Robert Cecil Wilson, 78

Robert Cecil Wilson, 78 of Portsmouth, died Sunday, August 3, 2025 at his home. He was born August 12, 1946 in Rushtown to the late Chester F. and Mary M. Wilson.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mimmie Karon Gammon Wilson, whom he married on July 1, 1980 a daughter, Brenda Lucas, a grandson Kristopher Parks and a brother Kenneth Wilson.

Robert was a proud United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Robert retired from the Air Force and the State of Ohio. He was a member of the James Dickey Post 23 American legion, Disabled American veterans, AMVETS, Vietnam Veterans of America and the VFW.

Robert is survived by 2 daughters; Wanda Carr and Linda Gershenson, a brother, Steve Wilson, 2 granddaughters, Amy James and Emma Gershenson, 3 great grandchildren; Heaven Parks, Damion Parks and Serenity Parks.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Matthew Mayhew officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 11:00 AM.
