Roberta I. Monk, 52

Roberta I. Monk, 52 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday January 1, 2017 at her home. She was born October 14, 1965 in Adams County to the late Orval Scott and Sarah Nolan. She was a homemaker and attended Mt Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth. She was a loving mother, devoted housewife and an all around good person. She never tuned anyone away that was in need. She may be gone but will never be forgotten. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Rick Nolan.

Roberta is survived by her husband Douglas M. Monk Jr., 3 sons; Jason, Douglas II, and Daniel Monk all of West Portsmouth, 4 grandchildren; Alana Faith, Daniel Jr, Braydon and McKenzie Monk all of West Portsmouth, 4 brothers; Ron, Bob, Scott and Herbie Nolan and a sister Regina Stone all of Adams County.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday January 5, 2017 at Mt Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth with Brother George Gravely officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the church on Thursday starting at 10:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
