Rocky Lane Collier, 53
Rocky Lane Collier, 53 of West Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday January 19, 2011 at SOMC Hospice. He was born June 23, 1957 in Portsmouth to the late Nanetta Maynard. He is also preceded in death by his grandfather who raised him Wilbur Collier and a great grandson Justin Levi Jarrell. Rocky was an Army veteran and was a former building contractor.
Rocky is survived by his wife Ester Collier who he married September 8, 1998 in Greenup, Ky. 2 sons; Rocky Shane Collier and Michael Clark both of Wheelersburg, a daughter Anika Clark of Clarktown, a stepson Anthony Maynard of McDermott, 2 step daughters; Cindy Carver of West Portsmouth and Jamie Newman of Portsmouth, a sister Edwanna Holmes of Springfield, 17 grandchildren and several aunts and uncles.
There will be graveside services 1:00 PM Saturday January 22, 2010 at Collier Cemetery in Scioto Furnace with Loren Hardin officiating and military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
