Roger E. Chambliss, Sr. 64

Roger E. Chambliss Sr., 64 of Lucasville, died Saturday August 18, 2007 at his home. He was born April 2, 1943 in Xenia, OH to the late James Leroy and Esther Emily Sidenstricker Chambliss. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was also a former construction worker. Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife Edna May Crabtree Chambliss.

Roger is survived by his wife Ida Wood Chambliss, three sons: Roger Chambliss, Jr. of Hillsboro, James Chambliss of Chillicothe, Michael (Mary) Crabtree of Lucasville; three daughters: Connie (J.R.) Ison of Hillsboro, Bonnie (Mike) Green and Mary Burchett of Portsmouth; five stepchildren: Sandy (Truman) Boldman, Mark Crabtree, Tina (Randy) Mosley, Patricia (Rodney) Brown, and Doris Crabtree all of Lucasville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 pm Monday, August 20, 2007 at Rushtown Cemetery with Rev. Elmer Stevens officiating. Graveside military rites will be given by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
