Roger Keith Tackett, Sr., 61
Roger Keith Tackett, Sr., 61 of West Portsmouth died Thursday August 5, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1949 in Portsmouth to the late Estill and Dixie Mae Roberts Tackett. He was a Navy Vietnam War Veteran and a self employed mechanic who worked on cars and boats. Along with his parents Roger was preceded in death by his son Roger Keith Tackett Jr.
Roger is survived by 2 daughters; Angel (Joe Tipman) Tackett of Lucasville and Brandee Tackett of West Portsmouth, 2 sisters; Janet Reutinger and Nancy Bays both of West Portsmouth 4 grandchildren; Destanee Tackett, Nikki Tackett, Rusty Tackett and Brandon Lute and 1 great grandson Caden Lute, a niece Kellie Reedy and a nephew Will Bays along with several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday August 9, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Benjamin Music officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral on Sunday from 5 to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
