Ronald Edward "Ag" Skiles, 72
Ronald Edward "Ag" Skiles, 72 of West Portsmouth died after a long illness on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at his residence. Ronald was born January 4, 1935 in Weeksbury, KY to the late John H. and Sadie Swords Skiles. Ronald worked for American Car and Foundry in Huntington, West Virginia, he was an Air Force Veteran, a member of First Baptist Church, a Baptist Minister and a Sunday School Teacher. He was also an avid fisherman.
Ronald is survived by his wife Gladys Hall Skiles, two sons, Jimmy Lee Hale of Half Moon Bay, CA, and Robert Dale Hale of Wooster, OH; three daughters, Ruth May Windsor and her life long companion Mark S. Morgan of West Portsmouth, Ronda Lynn Gibson (Todd) of South Point, Penny Sue Knauff (Jeffrey Lee) of West Portsmouth; four brothers, Gary (Della) Skiles, Johnny Ray (Barb) Skiles, Larry (Carol) Skiles, Billy Paul (Lilly) Skiles all of Springfield, OH; one sister, Xanada Eloise (Donnie) McDavid of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Misty Luv (Blake) Jones, Jeremy, Justin, and Ashley Walters, Bethany Knauff, and Brittney, Courtney, Brandon, and Brady Hale; two step grandchildren Ashley and Ryan Gibson; a daughter-in-law Cindy Cooley; and lots of nieces, nephews, and many good friends especially Orville and Kathy Galloway. Ronald was preceded in death by a son Ronald Dean Skiles of Sulfur, OK and two brothers Chester and Daniel Skiles.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mike Davis officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by James Dickey Post American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family's favorite charity is Hospice of Heartland.
