Ronald Keith Browning, 83

Ronald Keith Browning, 83 of West Portsmouth died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born March 26, 1938 in Portsmouth to the late Herbert Browning and Helen Thompson Browning Payne. Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a son, David Keith Browning and stepfather, Howard Payne.

Ron was retired from Goodyear Atomic Corporation, was a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church and Nauvoo Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He and his wife were youth leaders at Nauvoo United Methodist Church for many years. He loved taking the youth to Stoutsville Camp. Ron volunteered at the Salvation Army and also at the Senior Citizens Center.

Ron is survived by his wife, Judith Elaine "Judy" Cummings whom he married on October 19, 1957, a son, Mark Browning and a daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Lundy, a grandson, Eric Lundy and a sister, Ruthmary Rothell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Nauvoo United Methodist Church with Pastor Pete Shaffer and Pastor James Richter officiating with interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 6 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church.
