Ronald Howard Davis, 82

Ronald (Ron) Howard Davis, age 82, of Lucasville, Ohio, passed away on November 14, 2025 at SOMC Hospice Center.

He was born on June 27, 1943 in Carter County, Kentucky to Howard and Mary Lee Davis. He graduated from Portsmouth West in 1962. Ron worked 40 years and retired as a railroad engineer for Norfolk and Southern. After retirement you could find him at the flea markets where he enjoyed meeting people and sharing his faith in Christ.

Ron is survived by his wife, Marilyn Juanita Davis, who he married in 1963, a brother Gary Davis (Emma), as well as 5 adult children, Timothy Davis of Lucasville, Ohio, Christopher Davis (Vicki) of Delaware, Ohio, Steven Davis (Lisa) of Blue Creek, Ohio, Mark Davis of West Chester, Ohio and Rhonda Davis of Marion, Ohio, 8 grandchildren, Letrisha (Ben) Davis, Brian (Jess) Davis, Wendy Davis, Greg Davis, Megan (Kyle) Looney, Justin (Jenna) Campbell , Alex Davis, and Zach Davis and 15 great grandchildren, John, Sam, Charlotte, Amelia, Hanny, Avery, Jilian, Lucas, Kayden, Dylan, Bella, Isaac, Thiago, Hunter, and Jojo.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Lee Davis, a brother, David Davis, a sister Barbara Ann (in infancy), niece Patty Davis, and several uncles and aunts.

He lived his life with a keen and deep understanding of how much he was forgiven and blessed by God. He freely gave away what God had given him and for nearly 40 years he ran this race and finished strong, in Christ alone.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday November 20, 2025, at New Beginning Church of God, 227 Maple Street West Portsmouth, Ohio with Pastor James H. Lens officiating and internment at Scioto Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday November 19th at Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, Ohio, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
