Ronald L. Johnson, 70
Ronald L. Johnson, 70, formerly of Portsmouth passed away on October 21, 2004 at Veteran's Hospital, Huntington, WVa. Ronald was born October 27, 1933 in Portsmouth to the late Clarence and Marie Shields Johnson. He was a 1951 graduate of Portsmouth High School and was a former employee of Schaefer's and Foodland.
He is survived by his former wife, Carolyn (Jones) Johnson of Portsmouth, three daughters Rhonda (Kenneth) Powell of Minford, Cathy Moore of Portsmouth, Debbie (Dan) Yossett of Louisiana; three sons, Joseph (Tianna) Johnson of Florida, Jeffery (Misti) Johnson of West Portsmouth, and James Johnson of Portsmouth; 17 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his caregiver Ruth Bond of Hanging Rock.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Roy Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Scioto Burial Park with graveside Military Rites given by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday.
