Rose Elizabeth Reiser Johnson, 89

Rose Elizabeth Reiser Johnson, 89 was born April 17, 1918 to Anna Margaret (Knost) Reiser and John Christopher Reiser. Libby went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2008 at Heartland Nursing Home of Portsmouth where she had been a patient since January of 2008. Rose was a member of Dry Run Church of Christ in West Portsmouth.

She was married to Albert M. Johnson and to them two sons were born: Nicholas M. Johnson (deceased) and John D. Johnson of McDermott, OH; four grandchildren: Matthew (Jen) Johnson of West Portsmouth, Christopher Johnson of McDermott, Susan (Troy) Tolle of Cincinnati, Jennifer (Gary) Haywood of Wheelersburg; seven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Abigail, Lynsey, Baylen, Olivia, Alex and Bailey.

Libby leaves behind a dear-friend and sister, Catherine Mowery of McDermott. Aloso preceding her in death was four brothers, Elmer Reiser, Carl Reiser, Orville Reiser and Paul Reiser and also two sisters, Helen Swope and Edna Mae Brinkley.

Elizabeth was a member for many years of Sugar Grove Homemakers, where she made lots of lasting friendships, Emma Shively, Dora Kessinger, June Hamilton, Maye Reiser (sister-in-law) and many, many more.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 15, 2008 at Dry Run Church of Christ, 22336 St Rt 73 in West Portsmouth with Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Worleys Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 12 to 1 P.M. on Saturday. Services are under the direction of The Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
