Rosemary Malone, 82

Rosemary Malone, 82, of Portsmouth, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7, 2018, at SOMC Hospice. Rosemary was born November 9, 1935, in Portsmouth, to the late George W. and Vesta Ellen (Boggs) Leadingham. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of the Church of Christ.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John R. Malone, Sr., whom she married September 17, 1955, in Portsmouth; and two brothers, Elmer and David Leadingham.

Rosemary is survived by two sons, John R. "Rick" (Annette) Malone, Jr., of Portsmouth, and James R. "Rod" (Rhonda) Malone, of Heath, Ohio; one daughter, Rebecca Ellen (Thomas) Riffe, of Portsmouth; two sisters, Evelyn Morris of Franklin, Ohio and Barbara (David) Thompson, of Lucasville; nine grandchildren, Sasha Marie, John R. III (Andrea), Morgan, Maci, Grant, and Kamryn Malone, Miranda (Wesley) Barnett, and Nathan and Allison Whisman; three great grandchildren, Breanna, Tanner, and Trey Ryan Malone; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Aaron Reed, officiating, and interment in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
