Rosetta Sue Smith, 68

Rosetta Sue Smith, 68, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Sue was born on October 18, 1946, at Vanceburg, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late John Johnson and Hazel Caseman and stepfather James Caseman. She was also raised by her grandmother, Myrtle Miller. In addition to her parents and grandmother, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jacqueline Sue Smith, and one sister, Sandra Caseman. Sue was Christian and a member of the First Apostolic Church of Portsmouth, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald R. Smith, Sr., and three children, Donnie (Alisa) R. Smith, Jr., of South Shore, Kentucky, Tammy Smith of Minford, Ohio, and Ronnie (Sarah) Smith of West Portsmouth, Ohio, grandchildren, Crystal Reinhardt Stone, Donnie Ray Smith, III, Lexie Nicole Doddridge and Kiersten Smith, great-grandchildren, Alexzander and Brice Stone and step-sons, David and Larry Smith of Piqua, Ohio.She is also survived by 3 sisters; Connie Monteith, Brenda Hampton and Debra Collins.

Mom always had a positive outlook on life even though she endured many trials. One consolation is that we will see her again and each day that passes is one step closer to that reunion.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25th, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, Ohio, with Minister Tony Knittel officiating.
