Roy Elbert Rigsby, 57

Roy Elbert Rigsby, 57 of West Portsmouth, died Saturday December 13, 2008 at SOMC Hospice. He was born October 8, 1951 in Dwarf, Kentucky to the late Homer and Lona Hall Rigsby. He was retired from Taylor Lumber. Along with his parents Roy was preceded in death by a sister Susie Mitchell.

Roy is survived by his wife Midge Rigsby whom he married on December 6, 1969 in Kentucky, 2 daughters; Brenda (Dustin) Pressler West Portsmouth and Ethel Lynn (John) Nichols of Portsmouth, 2 sons; Casey (Renee) Rigsby of West Portsmouth and Roy (Ashley) Rigsby II of Lucasville, an adopted son (boy that came with the house) Harry (Kristy) Perkins of Sciotoville, 7 grandchildren; Kyaalae Smith, Emillee Pressler, Casey Rigsby II, Roy Rigsby III, Morgan Rigsby, Harley Jean Rigsby and Landon Perkins, 4 sisters; Maxine Carver and Alice Summers both of West Portsmouth, Kathy Mitchell of Portsmouth and Tammy Rigsby of Toledo, 1 brother Roger Rigsby of Toledo, mother-in-law Ethel Jones and Family along with a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 17, 2008 at New Beginning Church of God at 227 Maple Street in West Portsmouth with internment in Meade Cemetery. Friends may call at the church starting at 5:00 PM on Monday through the funeral hour on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
