Ruben Oscar Burchett, 68

Ruben Oscar Burchett, 68 of West Portsmouth died Sunday December 11, 2016 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born November 25, 1948 in Scioto County to the late Raymond Burchett and Virginia Means Burchett. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Burchett, and a brother, Steven Burchett. He was a boilmaker and a member of the Boilmakers Union of Cincinnati.

Ruben is survived by his wife Patricia Sue Blankenship Burchett whom he married April 28, 1968, two sons; James Ruben Burchett of West Portsmouth and Raymond Oscar Burchett of Pike County, 1 brother; William Burchett of Corbin, KY, 2 sisters; Susan Pittman of Cincinnati, OH and Lucille Harr of Wheelersburg, 2 grandchildren, Blake Burchett, and Jeffery Burchett and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Dave Roosa and Mike Simpson officiating and internment in Oswego Cemetery.
