Ruby "Dee" Bradshaw, 77 of West Portsmouth died Thursday March 22, 2007 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1929 in Portsmouth to the late Charles and Viola McCraken Carter. Ruby was a retired Teachers Aid from Washington Local Schools. She was a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, the former Children's Director, a member of the Choir, and a member of the Service Stewards. Ruby was also a member of the Rockette Garden Club. Along with her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Howard David Bradshaw whom she married June 25, 1948 in West Portsmouth and a daughter Rhonda Kay Novinger.
Ruby is survived by a son Russell Lee (Tracy) Bradshaw of Wheelersburg and a daughter Renee Bradshaw-Thompson (Lonnie) of West Portsmouth, 3 grandchildren Todd Bradshaw and Ryan Askew of West Portsmouth and Drew (Kyle) Phillips of Stout. 2 great-grandchildren, Madison Leigh Bradshaw of Friendship and Richard Myles Phillips of Stout, a brother Charles Lee (Karen) Carter of West Portsmouth and a son-in-law Dean Novinger of Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday March 26, 2007 at Nauvoo United Methodist Church in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Schaffer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 9PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.
