Ruby Mae Taylor 75
Ruby Mae Taylor 75, of McDermott, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her residence. Ruby was born January 10, 1935 in New Boston to the late Harley C. and Hazel Ruth Smith Ivers. She was the owner/operator of Taylor's Grocery in McDermott and a waitress at Elks Country Club. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Tony Franklin Taylor and two brothers; William and Elwood Ivers.
Ruby is survived by one son; Dale F. (Jackie) Taylor of Waverly, one daughter; Toni (Mark) Riggs of McDermott, 4 grandchildren; Blair Taylor, Holly (Seth) Haynes, Sheena Riggs and Taylor Riggs, special friends who provided care for her; Lawrence Kopicki and Susan Dillow and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with George Vastine officiating and interment in Moon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8pm on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family would like to thank Hospice for all their love and care.
