Russell E. Wilson, 81

Russell E. Wilson, 81 of Portsmouth died Tuesday February 3, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1933 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Mildred and Russell F. Wilson. Russell is also preceded in death by a brother John Wilson. Russell served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Glockner Chevrolet and enjoyed much of his retirement as a concessionaire. He also was a former president of Southern Division Little/Senior League and Del Rice League.

Russell is survived by his wife of 45 years Katherine B. Cornelius Wilson with whom he had 3 children, Shari L. Wilson, Matthew J. Wilson and Dottie L. Wilson. He also had 3 more children; Russell (Sue) Wilson Jr., Randall (Onieda) Wilson, and Vickie McGraw with Sue Cooper. 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Duane (Sandy) Wilson, and Tom (Mary) Wilson, and 3 sisters; Martha (Lev) Arklin, Vivian (Dick) Dempsey, and Mary (Larry) Copas, many nieces and nephews and his beloved puppy "Dutchess".

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday February 7, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Barry Pelphrey officiating and military rights by the James Dickey Post #23 American Legion.
