Ruth Virginia Daubert , 92

Ruth Virginia Daubert , 92 of Portsmouth, died Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Heartland of Portsmouth. She was born October 2, 1920 in Chillicothe t the late George and Vencie Ebenhack Benson. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and a 60 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chillicothe Chapter # 419. Along with her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Daubert on March 10, 2005, they were married on September 16, 1944 in Chillicothe, also a brother William Benson and a sister Thelma Kern.

Ruth is survived by a daughter and her husband Beverly R. and Michael Shaw of Portsmouth, granddaughter Cathleen Ruth Franklin and her husband Raymond of Portsmouth  who are expecting their first child (great grandchild), nieces and nephews; Carol (Mario) Menendez, Karen (Alan) Hamburger,  Stephen Kern and Albert (Beth) Kern all of Chillicothe.

There will be a celebration service 7:30pm Friday June 28, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Father Stephen Cuff officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 5:30.
