Ruth E. Tieman, 65
Ruth E. Tieman, 65 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday May 22, 2008 at St Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. She was born September 20, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Earl and Jean Book Carter. Ruth a former Marting's Employee where she worked in gift rap for many years, she also worked at the Shortstop in South Shore. She was a member of the South Portsmouth Homemakers, the First Christian Church of South Shore as well as various church clubs.
Ruth is survived by her husband James Edward Tieman whom she married March 23, 1962, a son and his wife, Jimmy and Elaine Tieman of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Jordan Earl Tieman and Kimberly Maegan Tieman both of West Portsmouth, 1 brother Sam Carter of South Shore and 2 sisters; Tangie Reith of Dallas, TX and Janet Lovisa of Edwardsburg, MI.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 28, 2008 at the First Christian Church of South Shore with Bill Hayden officiating and interment in Collier Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 4 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
