Ryan E O'Dell, 53

Ryan E. O'Dell 53 of Blacklick, Ohio, formerly of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Saint Anne's Hospital in Westerville. He was born March 14 1969 in Portsmouth to the late Edward Lee O'Dell and Theresa Osborne O'Dell who survives.

Ryan was a 1987 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and attended Friendship United Methodist Church. He worked for the Ohio BWC Collections Department as a Lead Account Examiner 4 for over 20 years, with the BWC a total of 27 years. Ryan represented BWC with the Attorney General's office at monthly Liquor Commission Hearings. He was a very dedicated employee and was well respected and loved by his supervisor, coworkers and colleagues!

Along with his mother, Ryan is survived by a sister Brenda O'Dell-Joiner a brother Randy O'Dell, 2 nieces Stephanie Joiner and Kaitlyn Joiner, 3 great nephews: Corey, Brently and Hunter along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Friendship Cemetery with Tom Williams officiating. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth on Saturday from 12:00 Noon till 2:00PM. The family's favorite charity is Friendship United Methodist Church.
