Sadie M. Fitchpatrick, 76
Sadie M. Fitchpatrick, 76 of West Portsmouth passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 after a long illness. She was born December 3, 1931 in Greenup, KY to the late Melvin and Della Egerton Stephenson. Sadie was also preceded in death by her husband Eli Fitchpatrick April 21, 1995, whom she married May 21, 1950 and by two sisters, Clara Marie Stout and Wilma Faye Ferguson.
Sadie is survived by her companion Harold Burton of Portsmouth, one son and daughter-in-law Bill (Brenda) Fitchpatrick of Jacksonville,FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki (Jeff) Vansickle of South Shore, KY, and Jackie (Tom Shepherd) Fitchpatrick of West Portsmouth; one stepson and wife Larry (Jerry) Chapman of Columbus, OH. Six Grandchildren; Troy Fitchpatrick, Tracy Sweat, Kelly Fitchpatrick, Tina (Johnny Steele) Neal, Chad (Jenny) Whitt and J.D. (Bobbie) Whitt, 2 step granddaughters; Heather and Holly Chapman, one sister, Beulah Bazler of West Portsmouth and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Sadie was an avid bowler and loved her Bingo. She was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, Moose Lodge, Portsmouth Eagles and American Legion Post 471. She also was a volunteer at Hempstead Manor for 7 years.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Paul Hagen officiating and burial in Siloam Cemetery, Siloam, KY. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at the Funeral Home and one hour before the service on Friday.
