Sarah Irene Clark, 84
Sarah Irene Clark, 84, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 2, 1925, in West Portsmouth to the late Ezekiel and Mary Spriggs Monk. She was a homemaker. Along with her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kallender and three brothers; Reverend John Monk, David Monk and Thomas Monk.
Sarah is survived by a son Cecil McCormick of Garrison, Ky., a daughter, Linda Stockham of Washington State; a brother Dan "Tinker" Monk of Canton, 3 sisters Frances Dallas of South Webster, Anna Jean Parsons of Canton, and Alice Sharpe of Kentucky along with a special niece Carol Spencer of Attica, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday March 13, 2010, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
