Sharon Kay Kennard, 63
Sharon Kay Sowards Kennard, 63 of Portsmouth, died Thursday April 14, 2011 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1947 in Portsmouth to thte late Adolph and Ruth Ratliff Sowards. She was a former cook at Hillview Retirement Center. Along with her parents Sharon Was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Paul, Roger, Russell and William Sowards and 5 sisters; Janet Hoover, Dottie Hoover, Kathleen Councillor, Eileen Vaughn and Norma Lee Tollier.
Sharon is survived by her son Lonnie (Brandy) Jackson of Wheelersburg, and her daughter Liwanda (Jason) Tackett of Greenup, Ky. A brother Donald Sowards of Friendship and a sister Wilma Atkins of Lucasville, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday April 18, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Lute officiating and interment in Worley's Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at Noon. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
