Shirley Adkins, 69

Shirley Adkins, 69 of West Portsmouth went to be with the lord, Sunday July 8, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1949 in Adams County to the late Issac and Faye Moore Williams. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Steve Williams and a sister Wilma Williams.

She loved listening to Patsy Cline and spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her husband Harvey Adkins whom she married on October 30, 1968. A son Kelly (Tammy) Adkins of West Portsmouth, a daughter Sandra (David) Chinn of Columbus, a stepson Larry (Wendy) Adkins of Sciotoville, 2 brothers; Aubery Williams of Blue Creek, Rodney Williams of Otway, 2 sisters; Cathy Lynch of Blue Creek, Linda Boling of Otway. 7 grandchildren; Mandy, Amber, Sarah, Samantha, Rachel, Joseph, and Michael. 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Thursday July 12, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Ratliff officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday starting at 11AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
