Shirley Ethel Hopkins, 80

Shirley Ethel Hopkins, 80 of Lancaster, formerly of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born June 28, 1936 in Otway, Ohio to the late Ora and Vesta Brown Nichols. She was a retired nurses aid from Homestead Nursing Home in Lancaster, she was a member of Dry Run Church of Christ in West Portsmouth, and attended Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster.

Along with her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her husband A. Keith Hopkins whom she married on January 24, 1953, a son Russell Keith "Rusty" Hopkins, and a sister Donna Harrison.

Shirley is survived by 4 daughters; Vicki Kay (Walter) Bormann of Silver Spring, MD, Beverly Anne (Jim) Mauger and Pamela Sue (Ronnie) Shue both of Lancaster and, Linda Jane Hopkins of Seatac, WA, a daughter in law Belinda Hopkins of West Portsmouth, 2 brothers; Bill Nichols of West Portsmouth and Bob Nichols of Portsmouth, and a sister Judy Liston of Newark, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Brad Seevers and Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
