Shurvonn Laketa "Chizzy" Byrd, 40
Shurvonn Laketa "Chizzy" Byrd, 40 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born September 9, 1983 in Portsmouth to Rick Grooms and Erika Byrd Gammon.
Along with her parents, Shurvonn is survived by her step father, William Sadler Jr., 2 sons: Devon Jared Phillips of Athens and Jonah James Phillips of West Portsmouth, a brother Blue Byrd, a sister Brettney Byrd a half sister, Mindy Grooms and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences and donations can be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
