Terence Scot Staggs, 57

Terence Scot Staggs, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Terence was the son of Wanda and the late Donald Staggs of Carey's Run in West Portsmouth. Terence was a graduate of New Boston High School and Ohio University. He was employed by Tecta America as a Project Manager in Louisville, KY. Terence was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen.

He is survived by his son Sean Paul Staggs of Dayton, Ohio and two step-children, Jennifer (Steve) Herbert-Smith of Canton and Dennis (Leslie) Herbert of Vinton County. Terence and Ellen were proud grandparents to Natalie and Makayla Smith and Damien Herbert. Terence is also survived by three brothers, Patrick (Donna), Michael (Barbara) and Daniel (Joni) and one sister, Kristina (James) Welch.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 1, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend John Gowdy officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery at Stout. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Temple Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio.
