Thurman L. Blevins, 71

Thurman L. Blevins, 71 of Portsmouth died Thursday August 13, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born February 25, 1944 in Blue Creek to the late James A. and Pearl Ann Parker Blevins. He worked Timber and worked at W L Harper Construction and Seagraves Trucking. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Betsy Royster Blevins, a son Jeffrey, 5brothers; Walter, Clarence, Sylvester, Harvey and James and 3 sisters Dasie, Margaret and Nora.

Thurman is survived by his wife Debra Ellen Whitaker Blevins, a son Jonathan Blevins, daughters; Debra (Harry) Corle and Karen Newsome, stepson Billy Johnson, 3 sisters; Helen (Leland) Salyer, Bertha Furnier and Ruby (Bob) Christy, 6 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Stepp Cemetery with Sammy Salyer officiating. Friends may call at the cemetery starting at Noon.
