Trevor Levi Matthews, 17

Trevor Levi Matthews, 17 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023. He was born June 11, 2006 in Huntington, West Virginia, to Joshua Daniel(Jackie) Matthews and Lacey Jay McKinney(Brian McCormick).

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny McKinney and his special sister Amber Dunlap.

Trevor was a Senior at Portsmouth West High School and Scioto County Career Technical Center, where he took carpentry. He was full of life, had a free spirit and was a class clown. He would light up any room he walked into and everyone loved him.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his guardians Susan and Mike Cottrell, his brother and best friend, Kaleb Matthews, special sister, Brittany (Kelly) Rister, 2 grandmothers: Debbie McKinney and Sallie Burchett, a great grandfather John Burchett and a great grandmother Beatrice Ellison, uncles: Issac Osborne, Chad (Jennifer) Dunlap, Adam Burchett and Jason Gains, aunts; Jennifer Murphy (Jay Stonerock) and Jennier Edenfield along with a special aunt and her family that loved him, Christy Crabtree.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday October 10, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery on Shepherds Fork in West Portsmouth.
