Violet Mae Stevens, 79

Violet Mae Stevens, 79, of New Boston went to be with her Lord and
Savior on June 4, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on December
25, 1935 in Portsmouth , she was a daughter of the late Aaron and
Dorothy Dunham Hatfield.  She was a homemaker and devoted mother
until her children were grown. She then went on to work at Hillview
Retirement Center for 15 years.  Violet was a dedicated member of
West Portsmouth Church of the Nazarene and Rosemount Church

of the Nazarene for 52 years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Estel Stevens, whom she
married on December 24, 1953. Also preceding her in death were her
brothers Aaron, Joseph, and James Hatfield, all of West Portsmouth
and her sisters, Phyllis (Mike) Brown of Wheelersburg, and Carolyn
Eichenlaub of Logan , OH .

Surviving her are two daughters, Dottie Stevens of Portsmouth and
Angela Stevens of West Portsmouth, and a son, Paul (Debbie) Stevens of West Portsmouth, and grandchildren Jason Conley of MO, Aaron Stevens of Pittsburgh, PA, Alison Stevens (Nathan Wheeler) of Charlotte, NC, Tiffany Stevens, Matthew Stevens, and Rebecca Stevens, two step- grandchildren, Kirstin and Levi Smith, a great-grandson, Braeden Stevens all of West Portsmouth and a former daughter-in-law, Angela Breech, of Lucasville. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rev. Bob Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Piketon , OH . The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 6-8:00PM on Friday.
