Violet Lucille "Lucy" Smith, 89

Violet Lucille "Lucy" Smith, 89 of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home. She was born September 25, 1934 in Portsmouth to the late William A. "Willy" and Gladys Mae Evans McGraw.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by both her husbands: Ray Roscoe Moore and Donald Edward Smith, a daughter Ethel Marie Moore, 2 brothers, Rufus and Junior McGraw, 3 sisters: Mary Martindale, Carolyn Journey and Marie McGraw and a granddaughter, Angie Moore.

Lucy was a graduate of Arizona State University, she was an R.N. and a former owner of Lu Sees and Company Nursing Home in the late 1980's.

Lucy is survived by 3 sons: Michael R. (Toni) Moore, Daniel D. (Amy) Moore and Gregory P. Moore, a daughter Utahna C. Smith, 2 adopted children: Jonathan E. Smith and Taren Smith, 3 sisters: Phyllis Hawthorne, Wanda Adkins and Mae Forbey, 7 grandchildren: Daniel (Amy) Moore Jr., Erin (Josh) Pyle, Stacey Moore, Tom Moore, Michael Moore and Jake (Anna) Moore along with 4 step grandchildren; Keith R. Lee, Scott (Brandi) Tobias, Chris (Gena)Tobias and Carl A.Tobias.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rob Cox officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery.
