Virginia Dare Monoskie, 89
Virginia Dare Monoskie, 89 of Portsmouth, died Tuesday December 8, 2009 at Hill View Retirement Center. She was born August 17, 1920 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late John Edward Newcomer and Melva Johnson Brewster. She was a homemaker. Along with her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Edward Monoskie, who she married on August 17, 1938 in Greenup, KY., a daughter Alma Lavere Galloway and a son Gerald Monoskie, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and me half brothers and sisters
Virginia is survived by 2 sons; Dr. Forrest (Rose) Monoskie of Wheelersburg and Lloyd (Blanche) Monoskie of Texas. 17 Grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 15 gt gt grandchildren along with several half brothers and sisters and their families.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday December 11, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jack Howard officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and beginning at noon on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
