Virginia Loraine Patterson, 77

Virginia Loraine Patterson, 77 of Minford passed away Wednesday April 22, 2015 at her home. She was born October 5, 1937 in Portsmouth to the late Othel Morgan and Oneda Bellomy Morgan Meeker. Along wither her parents Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter Katie Patterson, a son Billy Patterson and her step father Amos Meeker.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 58 years, William Carlos Patterson whom she married July 18, 1956, two sons; Michael and Daniel Patterson both of Columbus, a daughter Patricia Smith of Sciotoville, a sister Patricia Mays of Tarpon Springs, Florida. 9 grandchildren; Maggie and Ashley Bailey, Justin Wright, Kenneth Copas, Monica, Devin, Will, Jannean and Luke Patterson, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 5 nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Monday April 27, 2015 at Scioto Burial Park with Roy Chaffin officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery starting at noon. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
