Virginia Lee Scott, 91 of West Portsmouth died Friday, August 10, 2007 at Hillview Health Care. Virginia was born October 24, 1915 in Portsmouth to the late Kendall and Ellen Nora McCarlin Hunter. She was a Homemaker, a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Circle One of Second Presbyterian Women's Association, Birthday Club, Shanoah Guild, Daughters of America and the West Portsmouth Garden Club..

Virginia was preceded in death on September 22, 1974 by her husband, Jesse Levi Scott whom she married December 8, 1935 in Vanceburg, KY. She is survived by a daughter Gayle (Gene) Kuhn of West Portsmouth; a son, Marlon Scott of Punta Gorde, FL; a sister-in-law (Kathryn) Hunter of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Becky (Jeff) Blevings of Wheelersburg and Dale (Regina) Kuhn of Minford; three great grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee Blevings and Kathaleen Kuhn and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Paul Hunter and a sister Joan Hunter.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Second Presbyterian Church with Reverend Stanley Webster officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
