Virginia Gallimore, 89
Virginia "Jennie" Gallimore, 89 of West Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday March 22, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 27, 1926 in Ashland, KY., a daughter of the late Hobert and Mabel Ferguson Williams. She was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church. Along with her parents Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gallimore, who she married on April 25, 1942, three brothers; Earl, Carl and John Paul Williams, three sisters; Wilma Finch, Thelma Jarrells, and her twin Virgie Williams.
Jennie is survived by a son Roger Gallimore of West Portsmouth, two daughters; Diana Cruitt of West Portsmouth and Bonnie (Tim) Raines of Franklin Furnace, eight grandchildren; Robert, Keith and John Gallimore, Laurie Thornberry, Michele Hodge, Anthony and Eric Raines and Jennifer McNiese, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, a brother James Williams of Portsmouth and two sisters; Myrtle Brown of Portsmouth and Ruby Stout of Dayton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 25, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
