W. Everett Wright, 81

W. Everett Wright age 81 of Darbydale, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 26th of 2024 surrounded by his family. Everett was born February 17th 1942 to the late Walter and Malinda Wright of Portsmouth, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by Robert Herrick, Denise Mulkey, his brothers, and sisters.

He is survived by his children; Linda (Mark) Wright Ingham, Malinda (Todd) Gongwer, Rebecca (Richard) Green, and Letha (Richard) Wardell, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Everett is also survived by his companion and former wife, Jacqueline Kay Wright.

As the pillar of his family, he was a devoted and loving father. He took each mountain and project head on and ran each race with perseverance. Everett served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from the City of Columbus.

Visitation will be held for family and friends at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio on January 31st, 2024, from 4 to 6 pm with services immediately following. Arrangements completed by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Thursday February 1st, 2024 at Larkin Cemetery in West Portsmouth, Ohio with military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
