Walter Russell Hobbs, 73

Walter Russell Hobbs, 73 of Stout, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home. He was born April 9, 1944 in Portsmouth to the late John Martin and Mary Alice Hobbs. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Minnie Sue Hobbs whom he married December 24, 1963, and a daughter Karen Hobbs.

Walter is survived by his daughter Joyce (Dennis) Sparks of Wheelersburg, a brother, Raymond Hobbs of Findley, 3 sisters; Rosemary Adkins of West Portsmouth, Connie Swords of Friendship, and Kathy Swords of Portsmouth. 5 grandchildren; Kristina Sparks, Sarah (Jeromy) Carver, Dennis, Chad, and Ty Sparks, and 6 great-grandchildren; Boston, Mason, Jett, Karenthia, Raidan, and Titus.

Funeral services will be 1PM Monday December 18, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Kenny Carver officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5PM Sunday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
