Wanda Carpenter, 84

Wanda Irene Carpenter, 84 of Portsmouth died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. She was born June 13, 1929 in West Virginia to the late Azel and Anna Parker Brumfield. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Billy J. Carpenter, 3 brothers; Jim, Arzie and Wayne Brumfield, 2 sisters; Jenny Carver and Maxine Byers, and a great granddaughter Allison Rose Carpenter. She was a homemaker and attended Community Bible Church. Wanda is survived by 5 sons; Kenneth Dale Carpenter, Danny Ray Carpenter, Billy Lee Carpenter, David Nelson Carpenter all of Lucasville and Michael Shane Carpenter of Wheelersburg, 1 sister, Berdie Maynard of Minford, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Community Bible Church in Lucasville with Joey Nelson officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call the church on Saturday starting at 11:00 am. That family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to SOMC Hospice and Community Bible Church in Wanda's name.
