Wanda Lucille Lamkin, 83

Wanda Lucille Lamkin, 83 of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2026 at The Gables of Marysville. She was born February 4, 1943 in Portsmouth to the late Thomas Daniel and Betty Ruth McGue McGinnis.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Leon Lamkin and son Joseph Lamkin.

Wanda was a waitress and a member of Riverview Wesleyan Church in Portsmouth.

Wanda is survived by 2 sons; Thomas (Kathy) Cooper and Timothy (Robyn) Lamkin, a daughter, Sheila (Don) Hammonds, a sister, Janet Hammonds, 4 grandchildren; Thomas Cooper Jr., Mariah (Tim) Wingert, Jacob Porter and Todd Porter, 5 great grandchildren; Jarren, Abram, Addison, Leah and Morgan.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Danny Blevins officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
