Wayne Jay Blanton 53, of Blue Creek, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his residence. Wayne was born December 24, 1955 in Portsmouth, to the late Jay and Betty Lucille Blanton. He had worked at Yorke Doliner Trademark Metals. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Ann Blanton, whom he married July 8, 1974 in Florida.
Wayne is survived by one son and his companion, Robert Dwayne Blanton and Patricia Scrivner Lowe of West Portsmouth, two brother's; Billy Blanton of Cocoa, Fl and Tony (Karen) Blanton of West Portsmouth, one sister; Judy Pope-Blanton of Portsmouth, several nieces and nephews, one special nephew; Billy Joe Blanton, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Anthony Hoffer officiating and interment in Friendship cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
