Wilford L. Raynard, 91
Wilford L. Raynard, 91 of West Portsmouth died Sunday June 17, 2007 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1915 in New Boston to the late Alfred and Lenora Reed Raynard. He was retired from the State Bridge Commission of Ohio and was a WWII Army veteran. Wilford was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ., James Dickey American Legion Post 23 and Aurora Masonic Lodge.
Wilford was also preceded in death by his first wife Annabelle Perry Raynard in 1988 and his second wife Frances Highfield Raynard in 2006, 1 brother Lawrence Raynard and a sister Floma Raynard.
He is survived by a step daughter Sharron Cooper of Honolulu, Hawaii , 4 step granddaughters and 9 step great grandchildren, 2 great nephews Donald Raynard of Sciotoville and Michael Raynard of Wheelersburg and a great niece Judy Cooper of Wheelersburg along with special friends Gary and Connie Coburn.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday June 20, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens. Graveside military rites will be given by James Dickey American Legion Post 23. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9PM on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
