Willard T. Spence, 95

Willard T. "Dee" Spence, 95 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday September 7, 2017 at his home. He was born February 23, 1922 in Portsmouth to the late Willard and Lulu McNeil Spence. He retired from the N & W Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a WWII United States Army Air Force veteran and was a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church in West Portsmouth.

Along with his parents Dee was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn R. Gambill Spence who he married on July 31, 1945 and a sister Marian Pauline Jones.

Willard is survived by 2 daughters; Jan R. (Jim) Armstrong of West Portsmouth and Carol (Dan) Peebles of McDermott, and 2 grandchildren; Jill Armstrong and Caleb Peebles.

Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth on Sunday September 10, 2017 from 2 to 4:00 PM.
