William Franklin Boyd, 73

William Franklin Boyd, 73, of Lakeview, Ohio formerly of West Portsmouth, passed away on July 1, 2023, at the Lima Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Portsmouth to the late Donald and Ailene McCoy Boyd.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Ann Boyd and a brother, Charles "Buddy" Boyd.

William drove for the Amish and worked most of his life as a carpenter. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed being outdoors, especially to go fishing or to hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Stevenson Boyd of Lakeview, Ohio, who he married March 25, 2000; a daughter, Rena (Rodney) Baker; two sons, Anthony (Felisha) Boyd and Ronald (Suzy) Boyd; a sister, Betty (Wayne) Conley, all of West Portsmouth; two brothers, Keith (Jean) Boyd of Swager Valley and Wilber Boyd of Sciotoville; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Cassidy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 PM noon. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
