William "Roby" Copas, 96 of West Portsmouth, Ohio, died Friday June 14, 2013 at Chillicothe Veterans Administrative Hospital. He was born October 15, 1916 in South Webster to the late Edgar Copas and Bessie Turner .He was a disabled WWII veteran and former farmer. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, many brothers and sisters.

Roby is survived by his wife Ella Jane Varney whom he married November 18, 1998, a son William T. (Sharon) Copas, 2 brothers; Harrison Copas of Columbus, and Charlie Copas of West Portsmouth, one sister Phyllis Rothwell of West Virginia, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Tuesday June 18, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Keith Webb and Ken Carver officiating and interment in Stepp Cemetery in Sunshine Ridge. Friends may call on Monday starting at 4 to 8:00 PM at the Roger W.
